About My Art
My hope is that this website will serve as a gallery and archive of my work, not just a shop.
I use and experiment with many materials including acrylic, gouache, ink, watercolor, colored pencils and charcoals, as well as make many forms of wearable art. My work is inspired by the mountains and deserts, the American West and Southwest, history, archaeology, anthropology, geology, philosophy, manuscripts, poetry, music, ghost towns, and all of my careful obsessive observations of the beautiful, intense world that I have made on my adventures.
I am much more a visual artist than an author, and I let my work speak mostly for itself. If you have questions or comments about my work, the process, or what a painting made you feel or think, please reach out to me.
I was raised in Wyoming and have traveled the world and explored the wilderness my whole life. I split my time between my home and studio in Wyoming, my cabin in the mountains, and my van, traveling around the west and southwest searching for inspiration.
My interest in being an artist has always existed and I have worked towards this my entire life. I spend a lot of my time in deep solitude studying, observing, and thinking- preferably in wild places.
